Elk Year 2025-2026 Special Recognitions
Grand Exalted Ruler Citation:Marvin Miller (PER) and Loudoun Lodge
Girl Scout Recognition Program:Catherine Burns was recognized for earning both her Bronze and Silver Awards, reflecting remarkable leadership and service.
Girl Scout Katheryn Burns was recognized at the March 28, 2026 Loudoun Awards Ceremony for earning her Bronze and Silver Awards through impactful community projects. For her Bronze Award, she organized a lemonade stand to support a Ukrainian refugee girl, raising money for clothing, school supplies, and essentials while helping the girl feel welcomed. For her Silver Award, Kathryn mentored younger girls at a Girl Scout encampment, teaching outdoor skills like fire-building and helping over 150 participants build confidence and enjoy the outdoors.
