Geoff Cox and Dieter Schneider visited Ashburn Elementary to present Michael Middleton with his certificate during the schools morning TV program.
Michael, a 5th grader, won 2nd place in Division I of the Americanism Essay Contest with his essay about "Why I am Proud to be an American". His prize includes a check for $50.

Blair, representing Loudoun, finished in 3rd place in the Regional competition, having previously won first place in the State competition.

David Karim was rewarded on behalf of he hand his work colleagues in the collection of toys. Chuck Kuhn, owner of JK Moving and Storage also contributed to the toy collection event.

On February 19, 2011 the lodge awarded Certificates of Appreciation to the merchants that supported the toy drive for the Children’s National Medical Center. With their help the lodge donated five boxes full of toys and a check for almost $500.00. The money will be used by the Medical Center to help parents that stay there with their children. The certificates were presented by Geoff Cox, Leading Knight and Exalted Ruler elect, Kimmy Sullivan, Tiler and Toy’s for Children Chairperson. Additional certificates are also due to be delivered in March.

The lodge held a Special Meeting on January 15th to initiate our three newest members into the order, ‘Bud’ Doherty, Fran Mitter and Rusty Broyles. The lodge would like to thank Monroe Kenney and his crew for preparing the dinner that followed, also special thanks to Rory & Matt Tetreault for the great Sausage & Pasta dish, Linda & Bill Smith for the wonderful Beef Stew and to Doc Allen and other for providing the deserts.
On August 27th, 2011, Loudoun Lodge #2406 hosted its first DD Clinic in the new facility
On August 3rd, 2011, $1,500 scholarships were awarded to our four winners.
Along with our Leading Knight Matt Tetreault and Scholarship Chairman Wayne Garber, our winners are (from left to right):
Lyla Byers of Sterling, Stephanie Davis of Leesburg, Manhas Marra of Ashburn, and Peter Burnham of South Riding.
The Grand Lodge Convention was held in Phoenix, AZ in July.

On May 6th, 2011, Loudoun Lodge #2406 hosted it's Annual ENF Scholarship Golf Tournament at the Sterling Golf Club in Sterling, VA. Here are some images from that event.
